Two abortion methods at our abortion clinic
An abortion pill or curettage are the two methods available to you to terminate your pregnancy. If you are fewer than nine weeks pregnant, you can choose between the two therapies. If your pregnancy is more than nine weeks along, curettage is your only option. During the intake interview, the doctor and nurse will help you make a decision.
Abortion pill
To end your pregnancy medically, take an abortion pill. The first tablet will be provided to you during your clinic consultation. You will inject four more tablets at home two days later. The amniotic sac will be released throughout the course of that day, marking the end of the pregnancy. You must stay at home that day because doing this will result in cramps and blood loss.
Surgical Procedure
An experienced clinician vaginally removes the pregnancy using either specialized devices (dilation and evacuation) or suction (vacuum aspiration).
For pregnancies up to 23 weeks and 6 days, we provide surgical abortions. Depending on your medical history and how many weeks along you are in your pregnancy, we will recommend a certain surgical abortion treatment.
